A poem by Melanie Jensen 1990
As they fell
each raindrop
signaled
a
memory
which
pooled
into a reservoir
of dreams.
Only now
they
overflow
from an already
saturated
soul
to
evaporate
into
hope
in the shape
of
an ocean.
Melanie sent her poem to me today along with a note saying…
I have been reading your articles in Insight magazine and what you (and Seth) have to say definitely resonates with something in me. Sometimes it is as if they are written just for me – which is a bit freaky and wonderful at the same time – when the Universe starts delivering us what we need at the right time. I’ve just been looking at your website and there is also plenty more reading and inspiration there too!
I just wanted to give you something back, so here is a poem I wrote about 20 years ago –when I was 19. It holds more broader meanings for me now than it did then. It feels like I almost wrote it without really understanding – when I look back they are quite profound words for a young person and sometimes I wonder “did I really write that?” as, although I have gone on to write, poetry has not been on my radar since those years.
Anyway, this is a poem of enlightenment, and huge hope (as big as an ocean) emerging out of fear or sadness. I hope you (all) like it. It doesn’t have a title – it just is.
Thank you Melanie. We love the poem and feel that it is very NOW as so many people awaken from the lower energies into hope and above.
It just is…I love that.
